...I'll be heading back to Ireland, particularly the Hill of Tara, which was just beautiful. It was fitting that we left Dublin to explore this site and Newgrange on a foggy, misty morning. It just added to the mystical, mythical atmosphere surrounding the area.The sun broke out later though as we headed south to explore Kilkenny, where my mother's family hails from. It is the prettiest city with two beautiful cathedrals and one gorgeous castle. Oh, and lots of cool pubs and restaurants too. We couldn't believe it when we stopped in at Kytetler's pub and ran into a family from the States who had been with us on the Dublin Literary Pub Crawl 2 nights earlier! It's a small world in Ireland.
Further road trips brought us more connections with fellow travelers, not to mention all the sheep and cows. Some of whom shared the road with us! They also share a lot, well, more of themselves, in the countryside. Needless to say it's a good thing I don't have a sense of smell!...lol
