All that Jazz

Late September brought milestone birthdays for two of my friends. Annette, a friend from BHF, turned 40 with a fun time at the Union Bar – our local watering hole at work. Great tunes from the 70s and 80s and great amounts of good wine were had by all and it was a fun way to let hair down and get to know some of my coworkers a bit better – all while dancing to Whitney, ABBA , etc.

Dancing of an entirely different sort was on the menu for my friend Barry’s 50th – Charleston baby! He rented out this amazing Art Deco ballroom and we partied (and dressed) up 1920s style! Delicious food, incluing foie gras, scallops and sausage and mash were on the menu, a live band provided swingin tunes and there was a dance instructor to teach us all the steps. I rented a fun fringey flapper dress and our gang from uni also went all out with their costumes. Just a wonderful evening all around - See pics online
