So I think I mentioned in my last post about the BHF Bond fundraiser? Well I got to volunteer on the evening and was able to see the show. Not only that? I ended up holding the door for Roger Moore (twice), Stephen Fry, Joely Richardson and Joanna Lumley (of Ab Fab fame), as well as some other British stage and tv stars. Turns out that where the volunteer storage area was, was right next to the entrance to the green room!Unfortunately photos were strictly prohibited, only managed the one here of our team of volunteers. We sold programmes and collected donations at the end (and thus missed out on seeing Daniel Craig who came on last.arrgh!), but the rest of the night we got to take in some spectacular performances of Bond theme songs, clips of the Bond films, and watch a cool video clip from Duran Duran. Did you know that A View to a Kill was their first number 1 in US? At the end of their pre-taped segment, they introduced the next person to the stage who was none other than the head of BHF – Peter Hollins. I can’t say that I’ve ever had my CEO introduced by Simon LeBon at any of my other companies..lol. The evening also included readings of Ian Fleming’s work which were mainly read by Jeremy Irons!!! Sigh…I could listen to him speak all day long since my teenage crush on Brideshead Revisited (the tv series – NOT the horrible new film which I won’t be seeing!). Speaking of films…
